Triptykk (Egne Hjem) (2017)
Materials: Photography (analouge/post-digital), giclée-print, wooden frames.
Dimensions: 18 x 24 (x 3)
The three photographs form a triptych that redirects to three stages of construction.
In center a coral with chalk infused structures, that by the geological processes and millions of years can turn in to a limestone quarry. A site where the stone was taken out to make industrial concrete, since late 1800s. Last an example of an early modernistic architecture, by architect Leif Grung (1884-1945). His first self-made home for his own family, in 1927, Bergen.
The working principle is equally inspired by antique ideals and functional continental influences at the time, constructed by Norwegian wood, mimicking the futuristic concrete language.
