The topic of looking away, leaving behind and reaching out for a brighter future: all these complex situations, is still common issues in the outskirts of Norway. The idea of a fragmented and disjointed, but still some representativeness put in the frame of a home, in a distant panorama, the classical tradition surrounding landscape painting combined with exploratory expression for displaying photography.

The work Passasje is also a personal monument of honour and remembrance to my family, my forefathers and mothers hard work and connection to a place, Akkarvik, in Northern Norway, where nothing is given away for free.
